Let’s Make Printing Easy
At Your Neighborhood Print Shop, we believe professional printing shouldn’t be complicated. Whether you’re preparing a business presentation or a personal project, we’ve answered our most common questions below to help you get the best results from our local press.
Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats do you accept?
We prefer high-resolution PDFs with fonts embedded and a 0.125″ bleed. We also accept .JPG, .TIFF, and .PNG files at 300 DPI for the best print quality. If you are a CANVA user, it’s easy to Share a link to your design and we can export with print ready settings.
What kind of paper or materials do you offer?
We carry a wide range of premium stocks, from standard 20lb bond for documents to heavy 18pt cardstock for business cards. We offer matte, glossy, and satin, linen, and Waterproof materials, Not sure what you need? We will make the recommendations to make the best of your projects.
Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Yes! You can pick up your order directly from our shop during business hours at no extra cost. We also offer local courier delivery for larger orders and standard shipping options via USPS, UPS or FedEx for customers outside the immediate area.
Do you offer binding, folding, or laminating?
Yes! We provide a variety of finishing services including coil binding, saddle-stitching (booklets), tri-folding, and lamination to give your project a professional, durable finish.
What is your standard turnaround time?
Most standard digital print jobs are completed the same or next day business day. For large-format prints please allow 2-3 business days. With complex foils, die-cuts, or other finishes the project can run 7-10 business days.
What are bleed and cut lines (and why do I need them)?
“Bleed” is the area of your design that goes past the final trim size. To ensure your prints don’t have accidental white edges after being cut, please extend your background colors or images 0.125 inches (1/8″) beyond the border.
What if I don’t have a design ready to print?
No problem! We will either do it in-house or utilize our partner with Umbrella Graphics, with over 40+ years of experience we nail it everytime to create professional layouts from scratch or clean up your existing files. Whether it’s a quick business card update or a full brand identity, we’re happy to help you get “print-ready.”
Do you offer special pricing for nonprofits and schools?
We don’t play the “discount game.” Many companies inflate their margins just to offer a “nonprofit discount” that makes them look like the hero. We prefer a more honest approach: our prices are already set at the most affordable rates possible for everyone. Whether you are a local charity, a small business, or a neighbor, you always get our best price from the start. That’s our standard for the whole community.
Do you offer custom sizes or bulk discounts?
Yes! We offer tiered pricing for larger quantities—the more you print, the more you save.
Can I see a proof before the full run is printed?
Absolutely. We offer digital proofs via email for all orders, and physical press proofs are available upon request for a small fee to ensure your satisfaction.
Will the colors on the print match my screen?
Because computer screens (RGB) and printers (CMYK) display color differently, slight variations can occur. To ensure the best match, we recommend setting your files to CMYK color mode. If color precision is critical, we highly recommend requesting a physical press proof before the full production run.
How do I send you files that are too large for email?
If your file exceeds 20MB, we will send you a Google Drive Link to upload yor project. You can always send us a link as well from a free file-transfer service like WeTransfer or Dropbox. Simply send the download link to our email, and we’ll take it from there.
Do you offer price matching?
We will meet or beat any local competitor’s quote. Because we are committed to being the most affordable shop in the community, we don’t want price to be the reason you go elsewhere. If you have a written quote from another local print shop for the same specifications and timeline, bring it in—we’ll match it or better yet, beat it.
